EXPECTATIONS

We aim to be the example program of Las Vegas Lacrosse and Club Lacrosse as it pertains to competitiveness, sportsmanship, and honoring the game of lacrosse. We appreciate you joining in this effort.

Player Expectations

PRACTICE - Arrive to practices at least 15 minutes early. Attend all practices ready to compete, learn, and be a great teammate.

TOURNAMENTS/GAMES - Arrive on the game sideline at least one hour before the first game of the day and 45 minutes prior (or as otherwise instructed by coaches) to following games.

Get dressed quickly and begin individual game preparation.

player values

WE>ME - Everyone’s role is different, but everyone's status is the same. Be a star in your role. We represent the team in everything we do, and we win and lose as a team.

ATTITUDE - Be an energy giver. It’s COOL to CARE.

HARD, SIMPLE, TOUGH - Simple Wins - Less is More. HOW we play matters more than WHAT plays we run. Be mentally and physically TOUGH.

HONOR THE GAME - Through our effort and respect for the game and all of its participants - teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and spectators. We leave places better than we found them. We show great sportsmanship, class, and play with integrity.

PARENT Expectations

24 Hour Rule - If there are issues/concerns relating to a game/practice, we ask that you please wait 24 hours prior to contacting coaches/directors.

Cheer positive encouragement for ALL players. Avoid BCD - Blaming, Complaining, Defensiveness (we teach your players this already). BCD never improves a situation.

We encourage parents to be FANS, not coaches. Hearing multiple voices can be confusing, inefficient, and unproductive for the team and players. We ask for you to place your trust in the coaches and enjoy watching the team and players compete.

Do not argue with/complain to the referees under any circumstance. They are just like us - they love the sport and they are doing their best.

Please only engage in wholesome conversation with other parents. We never know who is listening and the unwholesome talk reflects poorly on the players, program, families, etc.
